Quote of the decade if not the century

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here". Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

 ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Government Shut-downs.........ugh.........

Shutdowns are the norm, not the exception.  George W Bush was the only president in recent decades not to experience a shutdown.  The federal government closed 1x under Ford, 5x under Carter, 8x under Reagan, 1x under HW Bush, and 2x under Clinton.

Obama needs a shutdown.  Shutdown his teleprompter for starters.

Boys will be boys.................

 Boys,

This Saturday I start my sojourn into Montana's Missouri River breaks country to find a massive bighorn sheep with Lindsey Channel.  Being the bright, smart, prepared, talented guy that I always wanted to be I thought it prudent to begin my prep work and put up my High Sierra tent to make sure all the pieces were in place BEFORE heading out.

There are eight (8) small stakes that are not with the tent.  They are not in the bag with the tent poles either.   All of that is to be kept in the yellow tent bag.   Do either of you know where those tent stakes might be?

It's not that I can't run to Alpharetta Outfitters and get more, it's that all of that is to be kept together so this doesn't have to happen at least to me.   Lets do better going forward.

Over and out.

Love you to the moon!

The NFL

The NFL has begun requiring fans who are ejected from a stadium to take an online course before they are permitted to come back.  The course content focuses on anger management, alcohol, and crude behavior.  Here's how the program works:

Fans who get thrown out of stadiums for bad behavior will be sent a letter that encourages them to apologize to the team and complete the online course at their own cost. If they fail to do so and are caught on stadium property, they are told they could be arrested for trespassing.  When a fan completes the course, the team is sent a notification and the fan may be allowed back on premises.

No wonder I quit watching pro football.   With idiots like this running the aslylum why bother?

I would love to see this enforced.  How would they ever catch them or identify them?  Imagine catching them on stadium property and being told they could be arrested for trespassing after NOT completing an online course?  Would the NFL roll out some wine and cheese to make them feel better about themselves?  Maybe the NFL could engage some mental health counseling for them as well.

Heaven forbid Joe Arpaio doesn't catch them.

Jim Cramer. Tout Extraordinaire...........

"Has J.C. Penney (JCP) bottomed? How many times have I heard that one? It has to be the most asked question now that we are seeing some of the highest quality hedge funds in the situation, including Perry Capital (run by my old friend Rich Perry) as well as Glenview Capital and Kyle Bass. Suffice it to say that I don't think there could be many investors as wise as these people. They aren't approaching the situation idly and I think they are going to be right. To me, that's a lot of ways to get the stock to $18.... Can this stock go up $5 on a new CEO and a better holiday season? Yes. And that's why it is worth joining these great hedge funds. Not because they are in it. But because the time and the price are right. You don't need to know anything else for the moment."

Ron Paul and Ted Cruz.............

The story is not the crooked bureaucrats, corrupt bankers and the psychopath in the White House. The story of the hour is that one man stood against it all.  To miss this story is to miss what freedom means.

Against the Establishment Ron Paul stood.

Against the one-party system that has ruined the most exceptional and successful country on the face of the planet one man, Ted Cruz, said, Stop!

Not enough Americans stood to put Ron Paul in the White House.

Clearly this is a government not worth what we are paying.

Obama Voters...............

In my daily routine I probably go out of my way NOT to talk to Obama voters.

When I do, I am usually ordering french fries for somebody riding along.

WalMart

Popped into a WalMart today to use the ATM.   Didn't have enough green to pay a gunsmith for putting a new recoil pad on an old hunting rifle and they only wanted green.  It was extremely quiet in the WalMart, almost weird.   Of course the same could have been said about Best Buy last night when I dropped in there.   Hardly a consumer in sight.

Walmart is losing it's way

Investors in Walmart should pray

That company shares

Won't mimic their wares

"A New Lower Price Everyday!"

Rick Santelli briefly speaking...........

Rick is one of the three people we listen to on CNBC.   Somebody has to run turn up the sound when he comes on and he usually doesn't disappoint with sanity and good logic.

CNBC's Rick Santelli asks the (rhetorical) question that everyone should ask: "[What the Fed minutes said] is, listen, we have to wait for bigger confirmation that the economy is doing better; and for that, we're going to look at the employment side. [At the same time] we have the fewest people working that can work in 30 years, and all-time-record-high profits for corporations. Now, does that strategy sound rational to you?"

It seems, now that Ben Bernanke has seemingly promised that it will really never end, that Santelli's question will become increasingly critical in this country.

Never, in the history of the world, have the 1% made off with so much from the poor.

Pow, pow, pow in Chicago.............

Hey Chicago, how is that slick Rahm Emanuel working out for you?

Why is it that cities with large democrat voting blocks have the highest crime and murder rates?

Janet Yellen, palm reader extraordinaire..............

As the following excerpt from a 2010 FCIC hearing, noticed first by the NYT, demonstrates, if this is the best Fed head replacement we can do then we may as well fast forward to the Great Financial Crisis ver 2.0:  “For my own part,” Ms. Yellen said, “I did not see and did not appreciate what the risks were with securitization, the credit ratings agencies, the shadow banking system, the S.I.V.’s — I didn’t see any of that coming until it happened.”

Jesus and liberals..................

A Republican, in a wheelchair, entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?"

The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.

The next patron to come in was a Libertarian, with a hunched back.  He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus, over there?"

The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."

The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down, and hollered, "Hey there honey! How's about getting me a cold mug of Miller Light?" He too looked across the restaurant and asked, "Isn't that God's boy over there?"

The waitress nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold beer. "On my bill," he said loudly.

As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him, and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and began to praise the Lord.

Jesus passed by the Libertarian, touched him, and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up, and he raised his hands, and he to began to praise the Lord.

Then, Jesus walked towards the Democrat, just smiling. The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't touch me ... I'm on disability."

Milton HS Football

Centennial HS was spanked good by the Milton Eagles.  52-10.

It's no fun to be on the losing team.   It was ugly to watch their spirit and intensity disappear somewhere along the 2nd quarter.

Larry Summers is OUT!

Ron Paul for Fed Chair.

Anybody else is more of the same.

Atlanta Falcons game shootings..............

Atlanta police say two people were shot blocks away from the Georgia Dome on the Falcons' first home game day of the regular season.

I guess it gives new meaning to the term "trying to take down an opponent"!

Wonders never cease amongst the thugs.   A couple more great reasons not to go downtown to a Falcons game.

Jordan Parisian, Milton HS, free safety

Jordan Parisian being interviewed by Channel 11's sports icon, Fred Kalil after the Milton HS Eagle football teams exciting overtime win over archrival Alpharetta HS.  Parisian came up with two big interceptions in the win.  The Eagles are now 2-0 on the season.

Keep this in mind boys and girls............

Between Russia and China, they hold $1,414 billion, or 25% of all foreign held US Treasury bonds.

$1,414,000,000,000.

Yep, you got it right.

Getting older...............

My vision must be going to hell these days.  I can't tell a Democrat from Republican anymore, they sound and look like each other.

Both are warmongers and love spying on citizens.

The Big Lie, it's all about the money......always

Why has the little nation of Qatar spent 3 bilion dollars to support the rebels in Syria?  Could it be because Qatar is the largest exporter of liquid natural gas in the world and Assad won't let them build a natural gas pipeline through Syria?  Of course.  Qatar wants to install a puppet regime in Syria that will allow them to build a pipeline which will enable them to sell lots and lots of natural gas to Europe. If the U.S. is successful in getting rid of the Assad regime, it will be good for either the Saudis or Qatar (and possibly for both), and it will be really bad for Russia.  This is a strategic geopolitical conflict about natural resources, religion and money, and it really has nothing to do with chemical weapons.

United States of America and its Military

The nuts trying to justify sending Cruise missiles into Syria are everywhere.

Pelosi, nut.  McCain, nut.  Boehner, nut, on and on and on for a war with nothing to do with the United States of America and everything to do with pipelines and natural gas.

As the proud father of a member of the United States Air Force I doubt there is a single member of any branch of our military that joined to serve our great nation because they wanted to support an Al-Queda regime change in a Syrian civil war.

When the sheeple wake up it'll be way too late.

So sick.  Every single one of them.
