August is in the books.    It ended on a wonderful high note that only the trading gods could produce!  Who could have imagined such strength?    Lots of good traders caught on the wrong side of this move.

September is the "worst" month, historically, for the market.   I go long or short so that isn't a maxim I am concerned with.  I trade what I see, I trade what the price and volume action tell me.  

Human emotions haven't changed for 10,000 years.  The charts tell the story.  The age old story of fear and greed, pain and pleasure.  

As we roll into the fall it is disheartening to see how little the spineless, worthless, GOP contingent has done for our nation.

- Produce useless bills you know can't pass the Senate or a veto.

- Caved on the debt ceiling.  Writing Ukraine blank checks.

- Neocons pushing war over peace.

 
- Lies about releasing Jan 6 tapes.

- Terrified to impeach anyone.

Ornithology in my life...............

It's now been 60 years.   I don't relish counting them.  I have no idea what my actual life list numbers are, Brazil helped, so did Ireland and frankly could care less.  Having been on six continents helped but having an office in LaJolla, California overlooking the ocean and watching the spring and fall migration were a high-light and the binoculars were always close at hand.   

Maybe if I had to do it all over again I might be the worlds most renowned expert on robins.  Or snow geese.   Who knows at this point but migration would have been up there in what to study.

I don't go out looking for special names.   I go out for the experience and what I will see.  Creator blessed me with good eyes.  I can find them if they are there.

Today the number and quality of birding books is beyond measure. Unbelievable for a young kid in the 60's who biked to the city library in Morris to read about birds.

I have some people to thank and some highlights in getting a good foundation started. 

First, my parents, Doug and Betty.   The binoculars they bought as a Christmas present way back when were the real start with funds they probably didn't have.   The Roger Tory Peterson book and  the long visits with Retired Judge, Sheridan Flaherty in Morris, MN were ideal training.   My first MN Ornithological Society field trip, organized by Richard "Dick" Grant of UMM fame in the summer of 1964, the pictures deliverd by Earnest Strubbe of the Eurasian RUFF taken south of Alberta, Minnesota I still cherish.  

I can honestly say, it only gets more interesting and more rewarding the longer I am at it.  Birds are just a small part of the vibrant and interconnected natural cycle all around us.

Look and you will see,  watch and you will discover, study and you will learn.  Maybe the best advice for birding in your life!

A few years ago we were in Canada having some fun in a duck blind when the weather turned nasty, temperature dropped, snow started spitting and the birds stopped flying.   We were about ready to call it a hunt when a young bull decided to make a visit to the duck blind.

Don't you love the beauty of that long stride?  Never had an interest in hunting moose or bear for that matter.   Just a young stud out prowling around some Canadian agricultural ground.

I love it.  Wind, sun, speed and water.   The weather forecast said no chance of rain.  No thunderstorms.    They pay these government forecasters good tax dollars to be halfway correct but this severe lightning, wind and now raining for an hour is not what was in the forecast.  Oh well, another day of outstanding reading ahead.

Between the climate scammers in Maui, who set those fires anyway?  Arson accounted for how many millions of acres burnt in Canada this summer?  The burners won't change.  Since man lived in the caves fire has had his attention.   Those residents had to feel like they were in Dresden.   (hint, Germany for those in Mandaree)

I guess the months of arson, destruction of federal and private property, BLM violence, murders, and terrorism wasn't enough.  The Democrats want you to believe that a little riot at the Capital of the United States, broken windows and one dead Trump supporter, murdered by a government employee, is the biggest event in American history.

The fires in Hawaii, in Canada, in Greece, in Italy just aren't accidents, lightening, cigarette butts or just a "coincidence" boys and girls.  They are a means to an end to fit the globalist agenda of climate tyranny and population control 

If you think about it you see it don't you?  And finally, you are bright enough to understand that the team that surrounds this demented soul living (in Delaware) at 1600 Pennyslvania Avenue is wrecking the world.

Sickness of Covid

Everything government officials told us during the pandemic was a lie. It was not a mistake, it was not bureaucratic confusion, it was a lie. Even after this information became available, they kept the narrative going – They kept people locked down, kept them masked and they even tried to force-vaccinate the population. There were Republican politicians that also went along with the panic, many of them fake Republicans like Mitt Romney.

1) The lockdowns did nothing to stop the spread, they were simply destroying our economy.

2) The masks were useless and did nothing to prevent transmission of the virus.

3) The IFR of covid was a tiny 0.23%, and that’s not accounting for all the co-morbidity deaths that were falsely labeled as covid deaths.

4) The vaccines did not prevent transmission for millions of people. They did not prevent infection in many cases and numerous vaccinated people have died from the virus. Not only that, but unvaccinated people with natural immunity were better protected than those that took the vaccine and boosters.

5) Studies show that the vaccines cause dangerous side effects at a much greater rate than the CDC admitte

I will never forget walking through the Salt Lake City airport on a 3 hour layover with no mask.   I was the only guy in Utah sneering at the masked gawkers, they all thought I had leprosy.   Love my status,  Pure blood, clot shot free!

Will be 70, life is good and getting better.  Eat right, work hard, exercise, read and pray is all I do. Try it.

This was NOT an April Fools Joke!   Had a couple hundred deer running around the house and found plenty of deer carcasses that month.  The house was spared, built smart, built right.  My barn took about 6 inches of water.   Dead fish were everywhere!

It sure seems to me, how about to you, that America is lazy as hell.  In a funk.  Maybe the lies from all corners of government are wearing thin.  Maybe the COVID scam is wearing thinner.  Maybe the BIDEN Ukrainian kick-back scheme is falling apart?  

Maybe in our new world without fair elections, war is actually peace and slavery is freedom but only the MIC would know for sure. 

There seems to be a general malaise whether it is strapped buying power, theft, homosexuals flouting their desires, lack of fathers, summer heat, higher gas prices, school starting, stock market taking a much needed breather, who knows.

I feel a general sense of sheer laziness about life.

Today, Tennesse schools start, traffic will be wild, bus drivers will get their ass chewed by Sally and Jimmy's mom or grandparents (like most Indian reservations  very few students, maybe  20% live in 2 parent households with biological parents), Obama is still calling the shots, Yellow Freight drivers are scrambling for jobs, America goes deeper into debt, Hollyweird writers are scrambling for September rent money, fawns are getting big, rain is coming, Hunter Biden will have done a couple bumps by noon and the laughter, antics and hilarity of life are on full display across the internet.

As for me..........I sure could use some low inflation, low interest rates, low mortgage rates, $1.79 per gallon gas, world peace, and some mean tweets right now.

• Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote.
• People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.
• Inflammatory rhetoric is outrageous, but harassing people in restaurants is virtuous.
• People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.
• Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.
• Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome.
• $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.
• If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.
• People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.
• We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.
• Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.
• Criminals are catch-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights.
• And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"?

Nothing makes sense, no values, no morals, no civility and people are dying of a Chinese virus in the media, but 99.8% will survive when infected.
