Indian Country Today and Tim Giago

The newspaper was started as a for-profit venture by Tim Giago. Then the company was owned by the Oneida Indian Nation, then the National Congress of American Indians.

Since March of 2023 the newspaper has been owned by IndiJ Public Media.

His ex-wives, Doris, Jacki and Lynn put up with alot.

I admired him. We had plenty of differences.

Tim had the same views of the AIM disturbance at Wounded Knee as my father, Douglas Eugene Parisian.

Tim Giago was cut from the same mold as Bill Lawrence, the finest Native American newspaperman in America.

Tim wasn't far behind.
